Day Trip: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Return to Luxor

  1. Your private guide will collect you from your Luxor hotel or cruise, then drive about 2.5 hours south to Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. Admire its towering pylons, large courtyard, and detailed hieroglyphs.

  2. Afterward, continue to Kom Ombo Temple, dramatically located on a bend of the Nile. This unusual “double temple” is shared by Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder.

  3. Visit the Crocodile Museum, which houses dozens of preserved crocodile mummies and artifacts related to Sobek’s cult.
